Liu Bin
Postdoc, associate researcher. Director of the Research Institute of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Academy of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, and director of the Sheep Science Branch of the Chinese Society of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine. Mainly engaged in research on the breeding of down wool sheep and the growth mechanism of down hair. In recent years, research on the mechanism of villi growth has clarified that the regulation of photoperiod is the main factor affecting cashmere growth. In the breeding practice of ultra-fine cashmere goats, more than 1,000 high-quality breeding rams below 14.0 μm were cultivated and promoted, and the low-quality cashmere goats were improved to improve the quality of down hairs and thus obtain higher economic benefits. In cooperation with cashmere enterprises, we have established a technical system from breeding cashmere goat populations to high-quality raw cashmere production to high-end non-fleece processing and product development, which has actively promoted high-quality cashmere prices and healthy industrial development. He presided over 3 research projects including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and participated in the completion of 5 national scientific research projects for public welfare industries. He has published 24 papers, formulated 10 Inner Mongolia local standards, edited and edited 4 books, obtained 8 patents, and won 4 awards.
